sequence help!

ok so i have a 2000xl and i want to know how to sequence using the pads?
for ex. like have an intro then bring drums in an out whenever and go to next seq. and bring other samples in and so on (live).

Your either reffering to " Track Mute " or next sequencer " pad " mode. both these buttons can be found about the pads on the XL, just near the bank selectors.

p.s, its a wise idea to record each element to its own track, so then you can easily remove and add sounds as your beat progresses.

ok yea i think that is what i was talking about.
cuz i saw a video where someone was using the mp 2000 and it looked like they were doing somethin like that but with the pads. is that how it is done on the 2000?
