Good find homie. He is right though. It is only used for certain samples though. I've done it much with piano sequences. The Soft start is the actuall step of each sequence.
As for the freestyle. Who cares if you feel it or not. I'm in here doin' this thing like it's my thing. You do it like it's yours.

how do you do this on the mpc4000? I cant get it to work :( Ive got velocity and tilt velocity as the source and sample start zone 1, 2, 3 and 4 as destinations, but it wont work..

That trick rocks 8) You can chop randomly plus whatever you adjust such attack,decay etc has effect too.Sh!t is great..plus extra memory and not duplicate samples.

hello since you have a 4000, can you walk me through the steps of getting this to work? i feel rather stupid because this is basic stuff but the thing is, it doesnt work!

Haven't did it yet to the 4k..maybe the giant memory of the beast spoiled me to copy or "slice sample" function..Gon' try it though..Yeah,plus you don't need those tricks..f*ck what i was thinkin? lol

yes okay, you dont need it but i would like to experiment with it. :) Does qnyone know how to do this stuff on the mpc4000?
