.PGM FORMAT / MPC2000XL

Anyone can publish .PGM file format information.

I would like to code a freeware making it more easy to manage your program files from .wav directories. Ive found awave to be pretty cool but it isnt free and I would like to make a tool managing/backuping/editing programs more efficiently. Especially programs from other samplers and recycle AKP/MIDI output.

Use cases:

1- Create an editor that recognize and classify disks
2- Edit found programs or create new ones
2- Backup disks on HD after use
3- Convert from/to other softwares. Support SND and WAV

well, the mpc editor software can do all those things. its a very helpful tool for the mpc. i think its worth the 30 dollars.

why not using it instead of creating a new one?

it doesnt work in linux.. im using ardour(www.ardour.org) to record and i dont want to virtualize winblows or use wine just to run mpceditor..

ah okay. creating such a software for linux is definitely a good idea.

yeah.. I will do it in Java .. should be cool for mac users as well..

Im looking for the .PGM on mpc2000xl.. ive found the .prg format somewhere but its for the old mpc i guess..

i only got a mpc200xl mcd to test it out..
