Can i get help plz

k i made a beat and now I need to get it onto my computer..can somebody tell me how to get it on my computer?

Surely this is "Getting Started" section question.

If you don't want to get the "rtfm" response, put it in the right forum. Nobody will say that over there because that's what that section of the forum is for (i.e. people who can't or don't want to read manuals).

There is more info in the Getting Started section. And there are a few ways to do it.. There are indeed Interfaces that will make it far easier and better quality.... There are also ways to do so in a lo tech way.....

You can always get the cables aND THE PROPER PROGRAM (I.E. aUDACITY)....... Plug the cables into the line in on your computer and record it tat way.



But as the guys have already mentioned, check the getting started section and search for "Interface".... That should put in the right direction.



Search Ebay for "USB MIDI Interface" and that will also give you an idea of what the interfaces are and also what the price range can be....



The manual briefly covers this as well, and that led me to a basic setup using the DAW of your choice and an M-Audio Uno MIDI/USB interface.... Very inexpensive way to figure it out b4 sinking the big dough for better quality.

play your beat on the mpc and resample the main output, record the whole beat, when your done, connect the mpc via usb and drag the .wav file onto the computer. peace homie.

Nark, I have been reading about this way of doing it and this is the first time anyone has said it that way... I get it now... That is def the eziest way.



Thanx for the props. I will help out as much as I can as a newbie. I am only 1 month in myself.... But since I have so much time on my hands, helping out is not a problem, I just hate not having the answer for every question I see...... I will eventually though.



Having peeps use the search option is great and it will help others help themselves. Sometimes it makes them appreciate the knowledge more, but there are questions I have had and seen that I do not know how to ask or search for.... Being new, we do not always have the correct termology to search with, and that is where the "Collective" can be valuable assets to the site. I use this site to build a useful tool of information for myself and others......


I am on some strong pain killers right now (Head ache) so I am rambling, I think I need to step away from the keyboard...... PUI...

What Nark is saying is to basically hook up your output on your MPC to the Record in on your MPC as well (Creating a sort of Loop).... Play your beat, and record it like a sample (Mode/rec), then save it.... Then take it off the Cf card and load it into you cpu and you will have a wave version of you beat on your CPU... You can use any program to convert it as needed....

If that does not work, then download Audacity (Free) and hook up the output of the MPC to the line in on your CPU and use Audacity to record the beat. You will need one of these:
