Altho am sure I'll be holding up the foot of the poll (extra credit for only using the sample?!!) it was great fun - the other beats were dope! I know what my favourite was though!

Looking forward to the next battle! :D

I only used the sample as well.

The Bassline is the Sample, but compressed as hell and with the lows only coming through. The various sounds are reversed pieces of the sample to give me depth. I eq a high out of the sample ... at any given point you are looking at atleast three pieces of the sample playing at the same time. The Drums are compressed and processed (my trick) pieces from the sample as well. There is nothing going on in my beat but the sample.

I'd like to hear about everyone's process if possible

ive only had my mpc for 3 weeks, that was my 2nd beat ever, so it wasnt really worth mentioning how i did it. haha.

load, chop, play. thats about how it went. its cool you posted your process cause it gives people like me some ideas on how to go about things.

good lookin out.

Loaded it, messed around with the pitch and found a good foundation for a beat. Layed the 808 drums on it and built from there.

You can post to Megaupload.com i.e. There are lots of uploading sites on the web. But you could also create a music page on MySpace or Soundclick.
