Chill, man. This thread is purely about gear fetishism. There are other threads for music.

I bought the pads from VST acouple of years ago. I don't know why they stopped making them. They look cool, especially in da dark.

the 300 is a far superior sequencer

you can't get your drums gritty on the 4000 and they wont bang as hard.

I had the 4000 first. I will never let it go. It allows we to do more. The 3000 is just a classic piece, a must have. You could use the 4000 and an S900,S950 and get the gritt you desire!

A friend of mine had the Orange MPC2000XL that originally had the same pads.

dude I owned 2 behringer 2031 and 6 months ago I bought a pair of Genelec 1030... same VIFA drivers? could be, but Behringer´s freq response it´s very very very far from Genelec or any other decent studio monitor I´ve heard. High freqs are not clear, and bass freqs are diffusse and coloured as hell. 2031s aren´t flat response monitors at all, I assure u.

Actually, the Orange (SE-2) XL had more redish pads that also glowed in the dark. The yellow ones are from the ass-ugly SE-1 that had like a maroon body. Cool concept for the dark, but they look like cow spots in the light. I do like how the yellow pads match the bit of yellow paint on the case. Might work on a white case too

Behringer? Event TR8? Man if u have money to buy these Avalons, Apogee, Neumann, etc, u should spend it in a pair of decent Genelecs or something like that... Speakers are one of the most important part of any studio. And dont waste money buying 8" speakers, your room is too small, monitors are very close to wall so bass frequencies should be unintelligible. Try out 6,5" this will solve that issue. By the way, sell that Yamaha mixer and buy an analog desk, summing signals with that digital mixer is the worst thing u can do...

You don't even know what you are looking at! Evevent 20/20 monitors, Tascam DM-24. Stop hating and buy a sweetwater catalog and learn about some equipment! Instead of searching so hard to find something wrong,get you some sh$t, then talk! The topic said, " Post your setup", not criticize. The unfortunate will always hate and criticize!!! Why?

Of all the combo's I have owned, this is the combo I felt was the keeper to handle my MPC type needs.

Nice combo. We have to remember, just like Akai stopped supporting the 4000, Roland has stopped supporting the MV8000. Support will also stop for the Fantom X, now that the Fantom G has been released. We will have to work with what we have, or upgrade. I'm going to stick with what I've got. Choose your upgrades wisely.

I tend to see new products as marketing hype, unless I am looking for a tax write off.
I never really look at hardware from the point if view of updates or upgrades, only from the does it do what i need point of view.

If u post here u got to assume that everybody can give his opinion about your posts, thats how every forum works. As I saw u call hater everyone that gives u an opinion that u dont like. I gived u (and everybody) an opinion and one advice based on my experience, I didn´t attack or criticize you. You only saw my mistakes when I checked out ur mixer and Events (very very similar to TR8s) but u were unable to appreciate a CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about freq responses in a tiny room or summing signals in a digital enviroment. I don´t like digital mixers (for musical purposes) and I dont give a fuk if it´s Yamaha, Tascam, Mackie, Sony, even Protools, Cubase or Logic´s mixer... I prefer analog desks and, yes, I own one of these (Mackie 8bus 32ch). I own too Genelec 1030, TLAudio pres, lots of dbx, SPL, TC Electronic... (want a list?). So I got and I worked with sh$t enough to talk for a long time and I´m a lucky man who has worked many years in pro studios, live shows, radio and TV programs. I´m sorry if u have felt attacked by me, but take it easy and learn to accept opinions and advices from us.
