how would i record or sample live bass into my mpc?

i need more bass sounds and i know a couple of bassists that are ok with me sampling them so i put 2 and 2 together.........i know it caun be done i just need to know how to do it.........any help?

Use the record in like you do samples what's so hard about that?

yeah.. uh what exactly is so difficult about the equation here? they're still just a source of sound. run the bass to an amp, one of the outs to the MPC, just one channel, sample in mono, get your levels right.
aside from bass lines you've gotta get some octaves, assign to the pads and bam, you've got your own bass guitar now.

1st ive never recorded a sample into my mpc...........my turntable is usb so dont be a dick just because i asked for help

Try both and see what sounds best (only use the direct output from the bass amp, not the speaker out...your friends should know where the direct out is if they've ever played live). If you have a DI box, try that as well.
Also, if you're recording more than one note at a time you can get some uneven levels w/ bass guitar, so you might want to try putting a compressor in line after the bass/amp/DI box if you have one. You could try a little bit of EQ too. Whether or not you have access to a compressor and/or EQ, try recording w/o any signal processing first. Hopefully your bass-playing friends are willing to be patient and let you experiment.
