ok heres the deal,
big narkotiq just hours away from finishing his first real beat on the mpc1000.

the thing is, i got my sample chopped and assigned to the pads, but when i'm playing the chopped sample on the pads, it only lets me play one sound at a time, i cannot play the samples on top of eachother. ya'll gettin me?

i did search this, not yielding much, manual - i've got issues lol.

props to any homie replys wit help.

peace.

whats good homie?

sounds like you got sumin cookin! can't wait to hear the final product..about playin your sample chops so that they overlap..try going into mode+program and press f3 (params) is your play mode set to mono? try scrolling over to "poly" if it is, and give it another whirl on the pads..lemme know if dis helps!!

SHWELL, you say you layed your bline down before finding a sample to freak with? funny, i usually do the same exact thing..except completely backwards  maybe that's why you don't wanna **** with it any more?

haha, no one! just offering my 2 cents..he sounded a lil discouraged about adding a sample to it..personally, it would seem like a chore for me to lay down a bass line, then dig through a million samples to find something to fit it..maybe im wrong though? to each their own

I was trying new stuff with this one and I do not think I am gonna go much further with it... The sampling has been fairly ez to figure out, so starting from that part would be a bit ezier to accomplish for me..... But you never know...... I may still try to play with this one....

Nark, how is it goin at this point?
