Does anyone know what song Pete Rock is working with at the beginning of the video?

I've always loved the samples Pete Rock has worked with, I'd love to just listen to the songs he samples, but I've almost never found any of them. Does anyone know what artists he usually samples?
I've bought his records, but alot of em didn't even have anything written on the jacket so I never found out what he samples.

The main sample that he uses is Pat Benetar's "Love is a Battlefield," but I think dude was asking about the sample at the very beginning of the video. I don't know what that or the second sample is...sorry.
That is one ugly 2K.

I love this video. Basically made me want to buy an MPC. That Beat at 4:15 is sooo dope. Not even funny.

Yeah the first two beats are cool, but that Pat Benetar one is mad cheesy. Cool to see him working though.

Well him, preemo,hi tek and so on were a factor in me getting my mpc. Mainly it was because I was using fl studio and it was driving me nuts. Love all the beats in that video, except for the benetar one. Really haven't heard any pete rock beats I haven't liked.

Thanks Toba, I was looking for that one...

Yea his beats are really dope... I like the stuff he samples, I cant even come up with a word to describe em...

Are there any artists he tends to sample? Im only 21 so I dont really remember any of the good music from the 70's or 80's :). I remember I spent half a year looking for the song "Early in the Morning" by The Gap Band after I heard it on the radio on day. Contacted the DJs but no dice. I was in a bowling alley one day and some drunk 50 year old chick started playing it on the jukebox. When I asked her the song she thought i was hitting on her and had to basically fight her off me. So yeah, its always fun trying to find out what these songs are :).
