Will do. I'm sure I can make it happen again.

that's the nice part about reproducable bugs...cockroaches...they're somewhat easier to kill

thanks for your work!

got another pertaining to portamento on multisampled pgms
* - Portamento bug in multi-sampled inst programs.

1 - load 2 samples.
2 - create new INST pgm
3 - assign sample01 on 1 from LOW 35 B_0 to HIGH 38 D_1 (A01-A04)
4 - assign sample02 on 2 from LOW 39 D_#1 to HIGH 42 F#1 (A05-A09)
5 - enter INST program mode, set PLAY to MONO
6 - enter PITCH. set Portamento to SPEED
7 - NOTE: hit and HOLD A01. Hit A04. Release A04. NOTE: portamento works.
8 - BUG: hit and HOLD A01. hit A05. NOTE: both notes play. PORTAMENTO does not occur.

NOTE: the BUG occurs when a "keygroup" splits. PORTAMENTO/PLAY: MUTE occur within a "keygroup" (sample01) but do not CROSS "keygroup" (sample01-->sample02).

just posted this in another thread but its probably best off in here:
Also portamento only seems to work if your holding down the pad or key whilst playing the next pad/key. In other words if you take your finger off the pad, leave a gap and play another pad, there is no glide between the notes.

portamento:
1.hit pad and hold. hit another pad>portamento works.
2.hit pad and release pad.hit another pad> portamento doesn't work.

I just got a message from JJ saying this isn't a bug, but normal portamento operation...

I need to check my other sampler cause im sure portamento is applied even if your not holding the original key... it'd could be just a quirk of that machine i suppose.

2 .83

It's now possible to use patched phrase which wasn't possible before on my machine at least.

Using 16 lev tuning tunes it down full way but up only one semitone.
Or am I doing something wrong?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
i haven't used 0.83 with 16 levels yet and im not at home to try, but you could try setting the pad for the original sample:
When TUNE is selected, the Original key pad field
will be displays. In this field, you can specify the
pad that plays the original key pad

it kind of re-assigns the sound to a different pad whilst your in the 16 levels mode and all other pads are referenced to it. It could be that you've got it referenced to pad 15.

Thanks!

I'm positive I experimented with that but I'll try again. In general I tried a guitar sample that was 2 bars long and a vocal sample that was 8 bars long with patch phrase.

The guitar patch phrase worked with the above pitching problem but then the vocal sample only played back the first region in either trim mode or main mode, attached to a program, even though it converted the whole waveform.

Maybe the vocal sample was too long...
I'll give it some more time later...

os2 0.83

not really a bug but something annoying. When you're in trim mode messing with non destructive choping ; let's say you press pad 1 then pad 2 (both are pressed) if you release pad 1 the sound will stop.
The way the sound is played is problematic, maybe a real note on or note off comportement with poly would be better.

has anyone noticed that in OS1 for quite some time now that if you edit the LEVEL in OPE that the change will not take place on the GPE screen?

I'm about to report it.

You are confusing velocity layer level, with mixer level in gpe.

I have NOTE ON: TUNE: TRACK on Q1 and i can change pitch of notes on fly, but if i add something (eg. cutoff) on Q2, Q1 stops working... Can anyone confirm this or am i just doing something wrong?

OS1 v 4.97.
Sorry if this has been posted.
Have a sequence playing, go pad 15 to bring up the sequence grid, alternate from drum to midi track, get a very large increase in volume output, I'II check this again as it's from last weeks memory.
