Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi,

is anyone able to explain exactly how to get a sample to chop with velocity? what length/type of samples does this work with, and what is it a waste of time with??

its already been discussed, but its not clear if it works with 2000: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php ... t=velocity

here is a post showing how to achieve it on a 4000 i believe: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php ... sc&start=0

if this can be done, could someone list the steps/changes required?

thanks

I checked it on my 2kxl, same with the 2000 I suppose. From what I figured out, it will partialy work with short samples, not long loops etc. It gives interesting effects without actualy having to chop the sample, just experiment and see for yourself.
I took the info from guy who explained it on the mpc3000 example. It doesn't work with the same results, but it is a nice trick.
