cd samples

Ok so i got some like Future music magazine cds that come with the magazine and others like it. But whenever i put in the samples into the CF card and then try to play them no sound comes out and there all in .wav format. Anything im doing wrong? What can i do to get them to work.

Did you load the samples into the mpc before you played them ?
This question is for 2kxl model of course.

Oh sorry i didnt mention i have a mpc 1000 with jj os and when you look at the samples it says play and i press it no sound comes out but its only with samples that i get from those cds in magazines samples that i make myself and change to wave work but just not the ones from cds i dont know why its in wav. and it says .Wav next to it.

Are they 16 bit?

Not only they have to be 16 bit but 44 kHz as well. If you are not sure, check on your pc in the file properties.

I use the samples from Future Music with my mpc500 with no troubles. Make sure you load the samples into the ram and assign em to your pads. They do have some non wav file types on the discs so just check you are loading the right ones.

It says 24bit on the case of the cd. Should it be 16 bit? is there anyway I can change it to that?

any audio and with batch processing. there areew free ones out there audacity is 1 i think. You just need to make sure your end format is 16bit 44.1 for all the files.
