This is mainly for the people who have taken the time to try helping me fix what seemed like a ruined MPC. The problem was that whenever I would go to load a project, a question mark would apear in the Pgm: section in the main screen followed by the name of a file that I hadn't loaded. The info I was looking for was not there or only partially there. What was there, played incorrectly. For example, the first eight pads would play their assigned sample along with another sample not assigned to it. When I would put it in program moad to see what was happening, it would stutter between at least two samples.
Here's what seems to have fixed it. So far at least.
I took the Mp apart and removed the pads, when I did the connecter disconnected. I reconnected it and the pads seemed to work fine. So the pads may have only been connected partially. Not sure, but this only would account for the pad problem, not the file situation. Finally, after trying to salvage many very important files, I ended up basically scrapping them and reformatting and re-booting factory reset. Then loading an old set of files that seems to be working properly for the time. I have lost a lot of hrd work. These were backed up, even the files from my computer were messed up! I'm just really hoping that this problem is behind me... Thanks to all that tried to help with suggestions.

Thanks t_bias, I can't tell you how frustrating this has been. Seeing all of the new instruments coming out in this years NAMM, usually I would be figuring a way to save money quickly to get these new items. At this point, I really just wanted what I have to work. This also made me realize, that if I can get what I have to work, I should be very happy! Good luck, and appriciate what you have!

Shame you had to scrap all your hard work brah, but glad you get a chance to move on. I make like 3 copies of everything. Files i'm working with, backup on external HD, and back up on DVD.
I can't wait till I get a Blueray Drive, cause imma go backup crazy
