Primo's 60...

When Preem took over DND it had a few MPC's in its inventory, some were sold and some were kept no doubt. The SCSI option for the S950 is historically hard to turn up...

Does the s950 have the same sound engine as the mpc60?

The 900/950 has the same 16 bit convertors but has an adjustable sampling rate, so it can take you a bit further

16 bit huh?

Recorded at 16 and converted to 12 bit.. this why the sp is a little more gritty

Anybody know what Focusrite he is talking about?

Keep in mind this is his live setup , but he only has the midi out connected. In this pick he is only using the 60 as a controller of some other instrument.

Edit that instrument being the s950 right below the 60,.

It's in the list at the bottom 'Software, plug-ins:
Focusrite Red 2-, 4-, 6-band EQ plug-ins'.

NO,

s950 is 12bit 48kHz, when mpc60 is 12/40kHz...
and there's a difference...
when you sample high snares or cymbals - s950 shines:)

that's the reason - s950 sounds a bit better.

actually, i did some research on this ofcors ! and i know the 950 is a 12 bit machine but what i also readed is that its get record/preccesed at 16 bit and then converted to 12 bit digital audio.
im not gonne search for the thing again. if u are for sure then i geus im just wrong ! thanks for the real info bout it then

I don't know about the 950, but although the 60 stores sounds in 12-bit, it's converters are 16-bit.

nah it was about 6 months ago
