SAVING & RELOADING NIGHTMARE

It's a basic and it's already been covered but even so I'm having troubles reloading saved data. I've made simply one basic sequence using a drum kick on track1 and a 5 second sample on track2. I've then saved ALL_SEQUENCE_SONGS and ALL_PROGRAM_SOUNDS which I thought would cover everything. This is spread over 2 floppys. I've turned the machine off/on, inserted the discs and loaded as above, but here's the deal, the drum kick within the sequence has changed to a hi-hat. What in God's green earth am I doing wrong? Is it the order in which I'm saving/loading? am I missing something out? I've even gone to load again and I end up going back and forth between floppy's looking for sounds! Please help...

How I save with my 2k:

Whenever I create a new program and a coo beat, I give them the same name and just save a PROGRAM & SOUNDS and a SEQUENCE.

This way I can just load that one pragram and that one beat. For example.

pgm name-Sik beat seq or song name-Sik beat

Now you can just save a .pgm and a seq

If you have more than one sequence just name it Sik Beat 1 or 2 etc...

Now everytime you load, just load them all together.

It works for me and it's less confusing. But if I'm doing it the hard way, please let me know. I am pretty new to the MP.

When you save the .APS file, make sure to save WITH SOUNDS and also remember to REPLACE SAME SOUNDS

this may also happen if you have a sound on the disk with the same name. this has been happening to me a lot lately as i'll title things like chop1 and then when i reload it'll be a diifferent chop1 from a different song. just make sure thats not the case. i've learned now!
