Can anybody recommend a case or bag to transport the MPC1k to the gig ?

Cheers

I have the world tour gig bag. Fits nice n snug. Decent padding. its 24.95. The clasps for the strap are made of metal which is nice so they wont break and drop the unit. If u drop the MPC from any decent height its probably going to break soemthing since its a sensative electronic device but i carry mine around like its a child.

That looks ok, but I'd like something a little tougher.
I wonder if Gator do anything suitable ?

not sure, mine stays in my music room mostly. if it leaves its to a studio (my friend works there, so i dont want to make it sound like im some hotshot heh.). so that bag was fine for me but the measurements are perfect. so use those when finding a bag or case at least.

good luck on finding something. i'll scour around.

^^^ Yea Copped mine from HD for $19. Remove the inserts it comes with and stuff the MPC and the foam for a snug fit. I travel with this, an ipod, some wired, a box of dutches and some bud. In one case

Nark whats good homie! As far as measurements just measure the white foam that your MPC came in (inside the box) then add from there. Anything with those demensions will be sweet. Or if you wanna PM me Ill check it when i get out of school tonight and def send you that.

If you are going to be moving your MPC around on the regular, get a custom built ATA flight case (Specification 300 Category 1). Mine cost about $200, but if it saves your MPC from getting broken just once, it pays for itself.

There are a lot of cheaper options, but none are going to protect your gear quite the same.
