Used MPC-3000 or New 2000XL?

I am looking to buy my first MPC for doing mostly Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop. My question is which MPC is worth my money, either a used MPC-3000 or a new MPC-2000XL? I also have an old Ensoniq EPS(not the 16+ but the old original) to use in conjunction with it if that makes a difference in features.

One last thing, the sound that the box can produce is a big factor for my purchase. The crispier and dirtier the better, so if the 3000 has more of a lo-fi sound then I would lean more towards that one.

As a 1st, a 2oooxl might be more the thing to consider....This ones bound to be a matter of opinion tho

No way, the 3000 is much easier to operate than the 2000. Beter ergonomic design and OS as far as depth of menu's and being straight forward.

Matter of opinion for sure, but check all the dumb questions on the 2000 forum vs. the 3000 / 60 forum. Big enough ratio to rule out the number of users.
