MPC60mkII floppy disks

I recently bought an 60 . now , I've heard that 1.44mb floppy disks would damage the floppy-drive faster , is that shit true? If so , I'd have to go and search me some of those 720k floppies lol...

It's all personal preference I used HD's with no problems but some say it messes up the drive.
