Not to hate on the hustle but most if not all of those so called producer kits are a waste of time. dig.

By Dylan Ross Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:12 pm
Well, Ill rephrase.

A 9th Wonder Drumkit, with like 400+ samples in it.

All the drum sounds anyone would need for hip hop/backpacker shyt.

The reason I cant dig (which is fun) is that I dont have my turntables anymore. So, even if I had the records, I dont actually have anything to put them on.

Crazy thing to post on the crate digger part, where you ask the people that use their lives to find stuff to just give it away for some sound kits most diggers don't care about - thats why they are diggers, they want to find something thats theirs, and not 9th wonder or who ever's.

no record player - sample off cd/ tape / mp3 etc then???

no one who has sweated to find a sample on wax will give it up for a generic 'i make beats by numbers' starter pack

pay your dues kid

Its like 500 dry samples.

Maybe Ill rephrase.

Since I dont have my Numarks anymore. Where can I find some obscure 80s soul samples in which I dont have to worry about licensing? I mean, some really hard to find indie stuff.

can someone help me out by directing me some place at least? or someone that might need some new kits for their collections.

hey, no need to rephrase. just ****!ng think. dont respond to this thread anymore, just go find some samples of your own. a 400 hit drum kit! wtf are you thinking?? you need like 15 drum sounds total. freak those 15 hits into at least as many beats then talk about more. and not because you gotta 'pay dues' or any of that ish, its just youll realize you dont need 400 fuc!<ing drum sounds to make (any) beat. seriously in a kinda nice way DONT RESPOND TO THIS THREAD ANYMORE. go get some records or search on the net like a pure homo for some samples but you are asking people to give up what they search YEARS for. that itself is IMO a serious part of the beatmaking process..why do you think these producers have that sound/sucess and you dont?? alot of reasons really, but not the least of which is access to or possession of sample material. 9th wonder sampled off tribe called quest (so they say  ) so if hes your hero go sample some tribe drums 400 times! do some homework for FUC!<S sake and get outta my way cuz ive had a shitty week apparently!!

oh ok let me just give you records other beatdiggers are hunting for, that go for $50-150 on ebay. but wait you only have to deal w/ the nice sample snippet on a download file so those records that are pure trash but have 4 seconds off ill sample dont get in the way. i wont just give you the stuff thats solid beginner (which you almost certainly are) sample material to get you started but the 'obscure 80s soul sample' i mean 'really hard to find indie stuff'!!
