Here is something that I thought would work, but did not think they existed....

Wat do you guys think:

You plug an SD card into this and it in theory makes it an CF card.....

So-dimm is (physical) style of memory-stick and sdram is technology behind it

DONT use Lexar 2Gb CF Cards!!!

It worked fine for a few months then when i went to save to card it just froze my MPC and when i turned it back on after losing the track i was making it had wiped the last 19 folders that i had saved. I'm hoping i can retrive the data but it doesn't look good!

By what people are saying on here, i think i better go for a ScanDisk or Kingston card.
If anyone has any other suggestions for a good CF card please let me know.

Peace

Sorcera

Hi, just thought I'd make my first post and say thanks for the info - really useful and saved me a packet.

I got my RAM from Amazon of all places, for a little under £20 - it's installed and working fine.

I'm using a Lexar 2GB CF card from wal-mart. Works fine. I think it was $20. About 2 upgrade the ram... found something that U all should see on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... T.m240.lVI

I don't know if that pasted right but is should show up as a link 2 the page - or just type all that s&%t in. Cheap ram but is it trustworthy? Check it out

Just read the post about Lexar... I guess I'll find a SanDisk then thanx 4 the info Semantix

I have a strange error. I installed the ram and switched it on, it says "128MB ram" then goes blank, then shows the ""128MB RAM" message again, then goes blank again, just stuck in a loop.

Has anyone else had this problem?!!

I'm using a brand new mpc1000 with jj4.98, akai cf card.

I tried reinstalling the Akai os2.11 but i got an internal CPU error when the card was inserted.

Please help!
