'note off' in mpc 1000

so im comin from a 2000xl mentality...i remember when u go into PGM, u can set each pad to POLY, MONO, or NOTE OFF.

in the mpc 1000, i only see POLY and MONO

is there a way i can set a pad to NOTE OFF in the JJ OS1 4.98?

note off meaning, the sound will only play when u hold the pad down, and stop when u release the pad.

go to MODE + PAD 7 (PROGRAM).
Highlight the sample and press the WINDOW button.
You'll see the Play Mode. Set the layer from ONE SHOT to NOTE ON.

thanks..i acutally just figured that out. it seems as though u cant do it while the sequence is playing. i just turned the sequencer off and tried it and it works. sorry for the dumb question... but thanks for the help
