MPC SYNC WITH FRUITY LOOPS

I have everything plugged in.. my fruity loops isn't reading my MPC. it can find my midi keyboard... I dont know how to get it to show up on FL. I have everything on my MPC set up the way it should be to send midi signals but my MPC doesnt show up on the list of midi controllers in FL. Can someone please tell me how to get this hooked up!!!

the mpc isnt a usb midi controller. you need to run midi cables out of the mpc into your midi interface. then set the mpc to the correct channel. if you watn the mpc to control fl, you will need to go into the midi options of the mpc and set it to master

well, i gave you as much info as i could with the limited bit of info you gave. notice how no one else responded, probably because your original post is very general. how about some details as to how you "have everything plugged in".

as i said, the mpc is not a usb midi controller, so fl will not recognize it as a controller in the midi options. fl will respond to the pads if you do as i said in my first post.

yeah i am struggeling with it too.
I work with the mpc 1000 an jjos.

I got so far that i cant start and stop Fl with it but not more...

ok, like i said to the other guy, it really helps if you post your current setup. i can help you, but i cannot see what your fl studio settings are, your mpc midi settings are, what connections you have going on.

these requests need to have this information to give forum members an mental picture of your setup. otherwise its a guessing game.

so what is your setup? i need to know how you have the mpc setup, fl studio midi settings, are you using an audio interface or midi interface? these are some basic but necessary details that are needed to help you guys.

ok. I have my MPC set up as master.. I read in the other forums how to set up the actual MPC to send to FL. I have the midi in and outs attached to an M audio adapter with a USB end that I plug into my laptop.. so that is my midi interface. so then I start up FL 7. and go to midi settings.. I have it set to auto detect devices. My mpc never shows up under the list. My mpc only works in Audacity. because I have the audio in and out jack attached to my microphone port on my laptop.

i use a Mpc 1000 wiht the jjos 4.9 and an M-audio Audiophile USB Audio-interface.

don't know witcht setup is right on the mpc an Fl7, but i will post my Setup
at the monent:

Mpc:

Snyc out: A (Master)
Mode: Midi Clock??
Send MCC : On

Fl7:
Input:

"In Audiophile Usb Aktive"

Output: "Out Audiophile Usb Sync"

So sent master Sync is enable and Synchronization Type is Midi Clock


But i mainly want to use the output of the Mpc.

alright, connect the mpc midi out a or b to the midi in of your interface.

the mpc will not show up in the midi settings only the audio interface.

when you are looking at the midi settings in fl studio, there are 2 window, the top is midi output and the bottom is midi input. click the interface in the bottom(the input). underneath it there is a button called enable, you need to have that selected. it will be orange.

if you dont see your midi interface in the window, try closing fl and restarting it with the interface on. or reinstall the drivers for the interface.

now on the mpc.

in the bottom right corner, you need to change the midi channel to 1-16 a or b, whichever you have the midi cable connected to. my mpc midi out to flstudio is on output a. so i set the mpc to midi channel 1a and am good to go.

kuty, deselect the master sync in fl studio midi options. that is if you want to control the mpc with fl.

danny, audio ins and outs are not important if you are trying to use midi. midi and audio are 2 seperate things.

i always look in the midi sync-setup on the mpc, thought i have to do it there and not in the main screen...
