Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just upgraded from a 2000 to a 2000 XL. A while back I thought I saw a forum on using 16 levels for automatic zone editing.

I have searched for answers on this in the forum, no luck.

Is there a way to AUTOMATICALLY spread a sample over 16 pads with different sart and stop times using 16 levels?

I'm sorry if this is a newbie question. I looked first. Don't spaz.

Thanks,
CB

yeh, use the zone tab under the trim menu. you will almost always have to fine tune the slices. then click edit and export the slices to new sounds. say yes to make new pgm if you want them auto assigned to pads.

I think your mixing up two features, You use the zone feature to cut the sample up, the 16 levels is for tuning, attack, decay, filter and volume.
