the initial delay of your daw, correct?
i'm very new to MTC syncing
but as i've experienced, hitting play on the MPC while sending out 30 framerate MTC to reaper results in this:
mpc starts immediately
reaper starts about .75 seconds afterwards, perfectly on beat. before reaper starts, it is "chasing" the mtc signal and is silent.
if there was a way to have the MPC send a chase signal before the MPC starts playing (delay play or w/e) this delay could be avoided
maybe someone else knows the best answer

Insert empty bars at the beginning of MIDI sequences to ensure perfect timing...it's in the manuals.

yeah that works but if you convert your song to a single sequence, it's going to be littered with empty bars
not a big deal to delete them before conversion but still not seamless

Create an empty sequence and use this as the 1st Step in Song Mode. Your other sequences don't need any empty bars. Thus you will not have empty bars all over the place.
