I've recently had a major problem with corrupted files, and I was just wondering how other people keep their memory on compact flash cards. I bought mine off of the ebay with no manual, so I was just saving the entire memory to the root of the CF card. After getting a few tips, I have started trying to salvage some of my files then saving them in folders on my card. This hasn't fixed everything, but it seems to be much more manageable now. I was just wondering if everyone saved in folders or not. And if you don't, you may want to think about starting...

First make sure you are formating your compact flash cards in the mpc before you start saving anything on them. Once they are formated you will need to make a new folder for each new beat than save all programs and samples and than all seq and songs into that folder. Then when you load your beats.. Open that beat folder and than load all programs and samples than all seq and songs. Its not to hard.

No, I have JJ, I just recently lost a lot of files mostly because I wasn't saving to a file. I was just saving to the root.
