"MP3 format"-Isnt an MP3 file smaller than a wav file. I think that would be hot if the JJos was capable of reading/playing MP3 samples to increase the amount of memory could use when dealing with samples.
"Bigger Memory Hack"- Why hasnt JJ been able to make it so we can use at least a 512mb or a 1gig internal memory chip. I have alot of samples and they eat up space when I start loading up various programs. it seems do able and something that is well overdue.
"Kit Swap"- I think it would be hot if we didnt have to load up all of our kits at once and just be able to swap out kits like banks A-B. Cats with huge libraries have to feel this one. dont you hate it when you have all of your kits loaded up and your working on a sample and you get that insufficient memory message! Now you cant finish your project without either deleting something or clearing your ram and reloading. What if the sounds in each kit hat an I.D specific to that kit so you could erase just that kit and load up a new one without picking through the trim window. What if the sounds that you do use from these various kits remain after doing so and gathered onto 1 Sequence exclusive kit. Thats working on the fly! You could have a kit select menu on the main screen that we could toggle through and load up.
"All in one time streching, trim, auto chop"- We could have a view of a wave file similar to the one in the trim menu but the wave would be presented over a graph type background with say for example bars 1-8. bar 1 being start and bar 8 being the end point. we could then grab the end point of the sample and stretch it out over the selected number of bars and then in the edit menu have the options, autochop, timestretch, find tempo, assign region to pads etc.
"Copy, Paste, Delete Samples in Programs"- Ive always wanted to layer sounds but I have to many to sift through to find a perfect marriage. What if in the memory card screen where you can view your samples you could copy the ones you want to experiment with, assign them to layers and then have a create new program option and then your done.
"Visual Effects Meters"- Personally I would like to see how the effects are effecting my sounds. If Im using compression, show me how this effect is adjusting my sound with at least a cheesy decibal meter or better yet. In the adjust pad sensitivity window. Let me toggle between those and my cheesy decibal meter or the voices meter.
"Decibal meter marks in the main screen and record mode"- Have you ever sampled something and had to use the record gain and then had to go back and sample other pieces from the same song days later and can find the correct level (For all you people with OCD). Well if there was some kind of decibal marks in ther we could just play the original sample and find where its volume lies and then match it..........ya dig! Also this would keep you from sampling too low or clipping if your not using other gear to tell you otherwise.
I would really like to see some of these things in OS1 because OS2 seems a bit left field for me! OS1 has more of what I need and less of what I dont!
Let me know guys. I think that Kit swap idea is hot! 100!
