I wanted to know if it would even be feasibly possible to assign tracks to L R, 12, 34, 1 2 3 4, instead of assigning pads to mono channels.

With the OS, would it even be possible to do this?

another way is go to the mixer - hold shift and hit the pads for the tracks you want.
or if you want the whole lot - hold shift and press pad banks A B C or D

I really wanted to get away from pad assigning, its kind of a pain in the ass.

My workflow, I mute pads, and use multiple pads for multiple attack patterns, decay, etc. so its a bear to assign all 5-6 kick samples to one track, go back, do it again etc. etc. Just easier to say "put track 1 onto L.
