oh yeah, you're completely right, i misread your post about midi delays, that WILL be awesome. way more control than regular old delay.

so will this double as a type of arepeggiator or what?

if not a separate arepeggiator would be nice

kind of. from what we can tell, it's a single-pad internal sound arpeggiator by symptom of its larger features as a pattern player

i wonder where pattern info is stored, in program? or might it be a new file?

it's a step sequencer - 8)
looks like it's saved here - no idea what format - hope it's something like
pattern01.arp
would be great to build up a small mini sequence library

[MODE]+PAD11 (Pattern edit)

really lookin forward to this one ...

This looks amazing. I'd love to see it translating to midi note output, perhaps with the ability to send control changes. It would be great for controlling external synths.

by the looks of it, you get 3 programmable arepeggiators/step sequencers each with independent programmable patterns that can be stored.
like everyone says the question is - will it output to midi

This step sequencer approach looks more flexible than just an arpeggiator especially cause we know now you can save templates .Hopefully we could build up a library of effect types e.g pad delay/echo using the velocity settings (like midi echo/delay but we don't know if it transmits midi) and chord patterns and stuff.

All these teaser photos are tantalising and annoying at the same time i want it NOW!haha

where are the photos from too cause i can't see them on JJ's site?

hope it is midi - and hope the tuning is cromatic.

yeah jj sure knows how to keep us in suspense - i feel like a cat waitin for a treat

the picture was added to the main pattern page .. if you can't see try clearing your browser temp files.

maaan the more i think about this...
such a cool well featured midi delay.
but how do you input a "blank" step? put the velocity at 0?

yeah - i would think so - this is what you would do on an analogue sequencer:
set up a row that goes to the VCA so if you turned down step 01 for example, it would turn off the volume for that note. providing your EG/ADSR controlling the VCA is set up for a short enough release.
this would be the same on the mpc if you set up the AMP & FILTER to be controlled from velocity.
i hope this is also available for INST as well as MIDI

doing midi delays would be excellent - especially using a velocity controlled filter

so then this is not like the roland rps pattern function where basicly you can take a sequence and trigger it from one pad?
