i'm looking for a keyboard, which i can hook up to my mpc2000xl. i need it for playing some nice baselines as well as playing it like a normal piano. it should have some sounds. it needs to have the fender rhodes sound. the price should be less then 1000$.

is there anybody who can give me some good tips?? but please don't write i should read on the tweak homepage :D

Cause you posted the same question over there

If you're talking new, I'd go for a yamaha mo6. I was pretty impressed with what came out of that, compared to a fantom xa or a tr61.

Or you could go the second hand route. I'm sure other people will have better comments about this than me...

If I were to get something like that right now I'd get a motif es rack.

theres a sh1te loads of romplers, both available in rack and keyboard version. I think the best way for you would be to goto the store and have a jam.

you could always get a cheap midi keyboard and a couple of second hand racks(emu, korg, roland) for $1000..
