assign samples to pads with pc?

hi!

I bougth the mpc 500 for live use, and it works perfectly! But i don't know anything about midi and pc software to use together with my mpc.
I work with too much samples to create a new program in the mpc all the time. is there a software where i can control the samples i loaded into the software with my mpc? and how do i have to connect and synchronize the mpc with the software?

I saw this the other day. I do not know if it works with the 500, and I
am unsure how well it works in general, but the screen shots look like
