Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just got my 2000XL after 8 years.

So everything's fine but the shift button has a hard time. It works 1 time every 4 hits.

I looked for replacement part (not the button cap but the switch under) on these websites but cannot find any.

mpcstuff.com
vstservice.com

Do you know where I could find this part? My local shop told me they need to send the MPC over Akai. I don't have the money and don't want to wait if there's another solution.

Thanks

you could dig at your local electronics store for a switch. remove the old one and take it in to have it matched. if you cant deal with it or send it in of course.

Thanks.

I just found a thread saying VST should have some. But it's not listed on the online catalog.

Thanks a lot. Everything is ordered now. My friend knows how to weld so I hope everything will go well.
