mpc protools tempo change

I have an mpc 2000xl and im linking it up with my keyboard and digi002.Everything is working fine, I got the tracks going into protools from the mpc on seperate tracks into protools.The problem I have is when I press play or rec play in protools and when the music plays from the mpc into protools the beat is a lot faster than the original.I matched the tempo in protools with the tempo in the mpc but its still playing fast.What im i doing wrong?

yes i do so i should be able to control the tempo some how but how can i when i change the tempo in pt it still doesnt do anything.help me please.
