Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

how do 8 outs work? like if i have 8 tracks on the sequence , each track goes to each output? or each pad sound go to each output? if each track goes to each output ill buy it but i have to kno how it works first...anyone let me kno

That doesn't make sense are saying like midi from the keyboard to the mpc or run keyboard to your record in? Clarify what your askin.

Well then you can't do it that way cause the Midi is just being sequenced by the MPC it's not actually assigned in the MPC to a pad or anything.

so if i want to record the sequence to a multitrack i have to record it from the keyboard?

if you record something from the keyboard to the mpc with midi. you still have to use your keyboards audio outs to here it. the mpc is only storing midi notes. not sound. so the 8outs will not play back that sound. the 8 outs can be assigned to any individual pad on the mpc. but only to play back sounds that are loaded on the mpc.

Midi from a keyboard is non audio midi, the actual sounds are where, in the mpc, so they will be routed to 8 outs. If the kybd sounds reside in the keyboard then they go into a mixer and recorded from the mixer, not the 8outs, the mpc 8outs are for mpc audio only.

kybd audio -> mixer
mpc audio -> mixer
mixer -> audio interface/amp

midi kybd -> mpc midi
if midi kybd samples resides on mpc then those samples are mpc audio
which can be routed to 8 outs.
