Saving & Loading....PLEASE HELP...

I read the manual but I want to know this. The manual isnt going to really explain things the way an experienced user would...so dont go biting my head off about serching and reading the manual please..Thats Whats forums are for....ANYWAYS

Is there a way to save all my data into one file on my CF card??? like all my samples programs and sequences into one project file soo when I load it back up I dont have to find my other CF cards to load my samples up????

AGAIN I NEED HELP FROM AN EXPERIENCED USER!!!! PLEASE DONT BITE MY HEAD OFF!!!

that is in the manual. you just have to save an .all file. when you hit mode - save you use the jog wheel to scroll all the way right so it says "entire memory" and hit save.

(There may be another way to do this, but this is how I did it)

Connect to you PC and create the folders in question....... Like I have mine set up by Samples, sounds, bass, hh, snares, and etc....... I also have folders for Seq and Programs..... I also have a folder named current, that way if I am working on a project I know it is in there, but if I decide to work on more than one at a time, I just creat a folder with the same name.......

I have alot of folders setup on my HD, I usually only use my cf card for current projects.....


But the sky is the limit with this.... You need to figure out what is gonna work for you and go from there.........


Think of the MPC as an external hard drive or just and external memory drive when it is connected to your cpu....

see that how I want to do it....I will probably only work on one beat at a time anyways soo I can just save entire memory into one folder onto the MPC...So I can just make a folder on the Mpc and save the entire memory into that folder right???

Make sure you purge unused samples before saving, just to save some space on your 100gb HD
No seriously, it will speed up the saving/loading

soo purging will delete the samples I didnt use??? oookkk now u guys have explained all this now I need to put it all together...NOW IF I MAKE A FOLDER WITH THAT BEAT NAME ON THE CF CARD ALL I HAVE TO DO IS JUS SAVE INTIRE MEMORY IN THAT FOLDER ON MY CF CARD TO SAVE EVERYTHING LIKE SAMPLES, ONE SHOTS, PROGRAMS, AND SEQUENCES????? AND PURGING WILL DELETE THE SAMPLES I DIDNT USE FOR THAT BEAT??? JUST WANT TO CLARIFY!
