I was reading over another thread. A lot of people are mentioning that their machines are lopsided. After just ordering my 1000 finally, that's a big worry. My MPC better sit level.

I wonder if Akai will do anything about this to help us out if we have enough peeps that are on here complaining?

Maybe send us one large replacement rubber foot and some superglue for free... 8)

I keep my mpc on a stand and never noticed the flaw.. until I brought it to a friend and propped it down on his sofa table. "Hey, it's neat, but is it supposed to wiggle?"

Oh well.

I mean, if my MPC1000 fell off the back of a truck, I think it would be a little lopsided... it's a metal chassis, so if it got bent, I could prob. bend it back.

Mine was a little uneven so all I did was loosen the 16 or so casing screws, set it on a flat surface and re-tighten them. Now it sets flat.

I am not sure why this is such a big deal. Took all of 2 minutes to correct.

My First one was lopsided and after getting tired of putting a matchbook under one foot I returned it and got a fresh one. This one was fine.

I am not suggesting that having a lopsided MPC is not a big deal, but rather the `fix` is so simple and easy that there should rarely be any complaints.

I realized someone watned more details, but I cannot think of anything more to add to what I said already. Lefty loosy, righty tighty, perhaps?

Mine wobbled at first but it was just the foam pads on the bottom. After a bit of use they evened out.

yeah, mine was a bit tipsy.... but a small strip of tape on one of the feet fixed it right away. Not sure it would have been something to return it over. Nothing is perfect....
