SO, I got the JJ OS and I'm usind a Motif rack w/ it. However, when I find a sound and touch ANYTHING on the MPC, it changes the sound. It almost acts as if it is the master and the module the slave.

I have to find the sound I originally wanted to use and creativity just goes once I have to play it in the default sound it chooses and then go plug in the original sound.

Is there a way to stop this form happening? Thank you in advance.

the mpc WILL be the master - leaving the module as the SLAVE, esp if u have any program changes on yer tracks, or in any seq's.

it will send them as soon as u run the sequencer or select a track that has [main screen]:

PC: XX [or PC:'seq'] in the bottom right of the main screen.

if u want the motif to play the correct patch on a track, select the correct PC# [program change number] - mbe scroll through 'em 'till the motif's on the right one, then yer done.

I've done that. Once I set it up and all is well, just hitting PLAY, or REC, changes the module sound. For sure, that shouldn't be. If i change the volume or rotate the wheel. The sound changes to the default.

There's got to be a way to stop that.

try taking the OMNI mode off your synth , if it's got one... it's clearly picking up messages that aren't wanted.

play around with any other midi receive message settings , I'm sure you'll sort it out

I'll look. It's a bit harder to find ish on the rcak module. The manual isn't so helpful! TY!
