Is it possible to.....

OK, here's the thing.
In Ableton i often take a vocal sample and have it loop at the very end of the sample.

So when you hear somebody say"

here we go..

I have the word GO looped only at the sound O..

so it sounds like

Here we go - o-o-o-o-o-o-

in Ableton you can let a sample start to play at the beginning and loop only a piece of it.

is this possible on the mpc?

yes. but not with the akai os.
the jj os1 will loop a samples at any loop point you set it at.
for an explanation, scroll to the bottom of the link, to where "Selection of loop mode" can be found...

awesome! ik have 3.08

3.08 is cool. but it doesn't have the feature you're looking for.
as of now, the jj os1 version 4.99 is very stable and just about complete. so i highly recommend purchasing it.
for $30, you get alot of good features, including the loop feature you're looking for.
