Chopping problems

heres the thing. i have killer samples and all of that. but when i chop em up they dont fit right. and if i make em fit right they dont run right the timing is all off. what do i do?



this is a major problem because i dont get alot of beats dont quickly.

change the tuning, time stretch, or change the bpm's

or add some reverb

It all depends on the sample basically...Just take it slow and pay attention to detail...Use your head and think what needs to be done to a sample or chop to make it right.

If it's a sample that doesn't have a fixed tempo I usually chop manually...

yea work with the time stretch feature. remember that if you try to stretch it too far it will still sound choppy. this is actually one of the main things i like about my mc909 more than the mpc. it has auto sync and tt emulation. makes it a breaze with this.

I am having problems chopping on the mpc 2000. When I load my sample up. I cant get my waveform to show. Also I cannot select multiple zones and chop it into several pieces. like on the 2000xl I can only select one sample and altering by using start and end points. Do I have to chop up records by just making several different samples or can I use the zone edit feature and select different zones for one sample all at one time.
