Time stretching on th mpc 2000..

How do I time stretch on the mpc 2000?

I think theres no way to time stretch on the 2000 than chopping your sample into little pieces and play them so they fit to the tempo of your song....this works only if you got a sample thats slower than the tempo of your beat is,so the sample parts overlap at the end and beginning....there `s a pete rock video on youtube where he describes how to do it.much work on the 2000,but to flip a sample the best way,it helps you to add a little more dirt and funk than just timestretching.have fun!!

Thanks for mentioning that Pete Rock vid. I didnt know about that and I have wanted to know was stretching possible on the 2k too.

them new turntables with real time timestrectch would be mad for the 2000 owners. i think they the usb ones and have spdif outputs too.

can you trigger timestreched samples from the S950?

I know that the question I want to know is, besides chopping, can you also substitute that limitation by triggering samples on the MPC 2000 that have already been timestretched on the akai S950?
