wuzaa...

i've just plugged my korg micro x to the mpc through "record in" because i want to record what i play on the synth in real-time.

i can get a signal and sound through the "input thru" but there i can only record and then add to the song.

what i want to do is record in real-time as the beat plays, just as i do drumloops or whatever to a track. how do i get this done?

Well since you do have the MPC2500 you can use the direct record feature which it offers. Go to my blog to see the video on how to do it. I have a vid on my blog of a dude showing how to direct record on the mpc2500. Enjoy and take care.

How cool is that direct record !!! I love it...
This machine is amazing...How much more can it do.

Just a couple of weeks ago I began learning to using the LFO on some sampled phrases and man it's way wicked, simply amazing how sounds/phrases changed so much once I worked it out.( LFO in sync is cool as)
Sorry to go OT but had to share how this machine is so much fun and how happy I am with it.

Well for now I'm off to show the kids how this direct record can work for thier beat bopping..
