No sound coming from Sample Pads

I"m using a 1000. It has been sitting on my shelf for about a year. When i load a sample to a pad everything seems like it is working properly, but no sounds are heard when I press the pad.

While loading it I can hear it when I press play. I connected it via midi and the pads are working and active.

Any ideas?

go into PROGRAM mode... hit a pad... assign a sample to that pad.

if you're in the main screen make sure you have a program selected to be playing.. also trying plugging headphones directly into the unit to see if there are any problems with cabling/mixers/speakers/etc. finally don't forget the volume knob in the top right corner

I don't know which OS you are running, but check the toggle menu under MODE + PAD 9 (MIDI/SYNC). The "Pad to internal sound" option, if you have it, should be set to "ON".
