is there a way to connect an external hard drive to the mpc 1000? for example a glyph hard drive?

The only MPC with drive hosting capability is the 4000. 1000 USB is slave only. There is such a thing as a compact flash to external USB drive adapter, but no one on here has ever bothered to try one as they require specialized drivers that are not available for the MPC platform, not to mention being rather expensive.
