NEED HELP PLZ!!! Pads are going crazy...

Im having a problem with my sequencing... my pads are like going kind of crazy. I have my chops layed down reeal nice on track 1. Now, i want to have my drums on the other tracks. When I go to record my drums on the other tracks, it mutes out my sample chops on track one. almost like my mpc wont let me lay the drms on top of the sample. I tried to mute the sample while i lay my hi hates and stuff down, but... when i unmute to play it back, i cant hear the sample... i only hear it when the drums arent sounding.... how can i fix this? I hope my mpc is okay... Im dying to get this beat lied down.... it sounds hot!! well... not without the drums...

anyone?? i have some HEAT ready to be laced with some stick slappin!! Hit me up fellas!!

could it be that the program is in mono instead of poly mode? Had it once so the sounds stopped each other in the monophonic mode, for some seconds I was worried but than I discoverd that and changed it back to poly mode. Dont have the MPC switched on now but it was on top in program mode, next to the program name...

you know... i figured that out last night... i just had to put the drum kit on a different program... thanks for the response though.

learn by trial and error i guess.. lol
