The DVD drive

Is this a can't live without upgrade? What are the common uses of the dvd drive in the 2500? You can already load sounds through USB and flash cards. If its to burn your music does it burn beats quickly or is it really time consuming

u can use it to sample from audio cd's, burn your beats(dunno how long does it take, i never burn anything with it) and you can also load samples and stuff with it too

There's nothing you can do with DVD drive that you can't do easily with your PC as well.

So don't pay to get it. Thats what i was thinking.

The only reason I got mine is cuz it was free. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. And I RARELY use it. Don't waste your $ if you don't need to.

you guys are sayin you bought the CDM25 for 30 bucks off ebay? I cant find a single place that has it for less than $199

Do a search and you'll find that some of the guys here found one that is compatible with a modification that you can buy just about anywhere.
