simple question about saving onto CF

heres the scenario

i got a program full of drum sounds Auto-Loading from my internal memory when i turn on the mpc.

so ill turn on the mpc, record some samples into it, **** around, and then put some of the auto-loaded drums on top of it. but now when i go to save it to my CF, and i select SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY, then EVERYTHING saves onto the CF, including the whole drum program and all the samples that are auto-loaded. I do not want this to be saved to my CF again, because they are already saved in the internal memory on the MPC.

so the obvious solution is to save each program separately, excluding the autoloaded program, as well as the sequences separately. this can get tedious however. my question is,

is there a faster/easier way to "save entire memory" while excluding certain programs/samples?

my guess is no, but worth a clarification. thanks for the help

go into PROGRAM mode and PURGE all samples not used in programs... unless it's loading the samples and auto-assigning them to pads, this will remove the samples not used in programs from memory, so when you save entire memory it should only save what you need...

you could also turn off AUTOLOAD from the LOAD screen.

first off, i do not want to turn off the auto-load feature, thast my point. i have a program full of drum sounds automatically loading up and assigning drum hits to all of my pads. that way i dont have to waste time loading up drums all the time, i have it autoloading before every project.

the purge thing wont work, because purge only deletes samples that are not assigned to pads. however, all my drum samples that get autoloaded are assigned to a pad, so when i try to purge, there is nothing to delete.
