when i track a beat using MTC into protools i never lines up right

i have my kicks at +1 shift and hats at -1 and sure enough when it's tracks the instruments are lined up opposite!!!!

what the hell

i want to multitrack but i'm not gonna manually move everything every time i multitrack

how do i do that?

i got it all hooked up with MTC

i arm the tracks to record, then hit record on the transport and the clock thing on the transport.

they're all blinking. then i hit playstart on the mpc and the mpc starts playing and about a second later protools starts recording

which is fine because i'll just let it play out for a minute or so and cut off the begining bars where it missed that second

the thing is that it isn't lined up perfectly on the next 2 instruments that i do

justmy 2 cents, but whenever I track out I use Protools as the master. I never have issues with tracks not lining up

i use protools as the master using midi clock and i do not have to press anything but f12 for record and everything starts at the same time no problems, midi clock is much better for me using protools 7.0
