Say if you guys have a 2 bar measure (default) and only want

and only wanted to copy the 1st bar ...... ON THE SAME AUDIO TRACK.. ( in cubase sx its really easy just cut it out and paste it on over)

how would you go about doing this ????

There is no audio tracks in the MPC. I take it you mean midi track?

( in cubase sx its really easy just cut it out and paste it on over)

Why not try the manual? It's pretty easy to make x number of copies of a bar on the same *midi* track or even of a selection of notes. You can do it in the sequencer menu by copying and than pasting it (and specifying how many times you want to copy the section).

tip: besides that be sure to stop thinking in 'Cubaseque' - the MPC is more pattern oriented.

and im still puzzled i went to the number of bars and pressed window.. no results



i went into the seq edit window, pressed and held down shift and highlighted all my notes and tried to "MOVE THEM OVER TO " 02.01.000 "

no results

goto BARS field. Hit WINDOW and there you have it..

Aight.......in the center of the screen (roughly) is a little thingy that says bars.......you gotta highlight that dig? Then press the window button..... at that point you'll get a number of options......anything you can highlight with the cursor, you can change by typing in values (numbers) or try turning the data wheel.......

PS...... the little buttons around the data wheel move the cursor........goood luck.

i knew that already , but after you press the window button what do you do there ?? at that point you can change the field to "insert, delete, copy"


i tried to put it on copy and copy only just the 1st bar out of a default measure (2 bars) and it did not work for some reason or another?

OK then....after you choose copy, (In the same window) cursor down to "first bar" and choose the one you want to cop; then cursor over to "last bar" and do the same.....finally cursor to "insert after bar" and select your destination.......


If that fails to work, your machine is broken - try "percussive maintenence"

so i just had a 2 bar measure like a note repeat drum.. on bar 1 and bar 2 i just pressed the pad, and wanted to get the drum roll on bar 2


well now i have 3 bars.. i just want to replace the information on bar 2
not add another bar

Hate to say it, but you gotta not be afraid to experiment with your machine. What are you afraid of? It's not gonna blow up.....
If you're worried about losing your work - just save it, but unless it's the greatest two bar loop in history, it shouldnt be too hard to reproduce.....

so you would first delete the 2nd bar, then copy and paste the 1st bar over to get the same shit
