This has been my prob for a long time and i cant get it to work.Okay i have my drums and samples loaded, sequenced etc in my mpc 1000. Now i wanna add bass, synth and extras with my virtual instruments synced with mpc midi channels 1A,2A etc.I followed all steps but im only able to use one virtual instrument.Whenever i add a second VI it plays the parts from the first instrument. For example battery is midi track 1 setup in mpc and protools, Hybrid is midi track 2 but when i arm hybrid it plays the notes i made in battery which makes it limited to usein one VI all together.I wanna use battery,hybrid,trilogy,x-pand and reason all togther synced to my mpc 1000.

axiom 49 midi out - mpc 1000 midi in2
mpc 1000 midi in 1 - digi 003 out 1
mpc 1000 midi out a - digi 003 in

This is the last of my studio problems someone help me clean this mess so i can make bangers

u have to active the 16 MIDI Channels in the Instrument you created for the MPC
otherwise everything will play thru channel one and whenever u add a second VI it'll play the same thing as the first one.
then after u activate them all, all u have to do is simply select MPC Channel 2 in the mixer
i don't remember well of the top o my head right now, but it was something like it.

imma see if i can do a vid tut one of these days, cause this happens to eat up a lot of people alive

Correct me if Im wrong when adding mutiple instruments, you need to add channels to assign voices/sounds to them..

Maybe thats why when Im trying to play other part with other instruments I keep on getting the last thing I played

I'll check and post results later...

Confirmed.. on Mac's you must enable all the midi channels for use..
Each channel/voice are to be assigned to individual VST instruments or each instrument device created in Reason..
Ex. 1 Channel Synth Lead
2 Channel Bass... so on and so on..

expect for Multi Timbre VSTs.. a little different but same method

Coe so now i can use one instance of reason synced up to my mpc 1000 through pro tools right??.I had it hooked up before with my mbox2pro and it worked perfect but now my digi003 change everything and i had to come up with a whole new workflow.

How did u have it before Optik? Are u reffering to using the MPC as the sequencer/Master or Pro Tools as the Sequencer/Master? My setup that I tried is slaving the MP and synching the audio.. Im sequencing on Pro Tools which Im learnin at the moment and is slowin down my flow big time..
