Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

I brought the MPC 500 for the sole purpose of sequencing midi and it's not doing it's job! I'm triggering sounds from reason and Kontakt everything is working fine at this point. It's when I record my pattern on the MPC not all my midi notes are triggering sounds it's skipping notes. I thought it may have been the MPC fault so I loaded samples on the MPC and it plays as recorded without missing a note!!! What sucks is that I'm using an MPC 500 and I can't really use step edit mode to see exactly what's going on. I can't believe it's the software fault either. What should I do???? The missing midi notes also happens at random it's not like it's missing the same notes. For example I have a 2 bar loop and maybe the 3rd beat in the 1st bar wont play, but then on the second go around it will play but another beat will be missing!!! Help me cuz I'm so depressed and I love my set-up I dont understand what's wrong!

You might wanna check your MIDI cables as well. A bad connection/broken cable might give you MIDI drop-outs as well...
