info for sending my mpc to akai for repair.

my right stereo out is dead and when headphones are used only the left has sound.i need to send it out to get fixed but dont know who to contact with akai

did you buy it new? If so return that sh!t to the store.

i got it new dec 07 from an online store that has sence changed to guitar center.its just over 1 year old

HMMMM... I would check with GC just to see if you can get away with a swap you never know. Before going the Akai route check with MPC-Stuff and VST.

I might be having the same problem as you (mine has yet to go the way of the dinosaur), I asked a few days ago about some new audio jacks just to have as spares but wasnt getting many responses. I checked VST and MPCstuff for spares but nothing, see if you can just email AKAI or VST or MPCstuff about the specs and maybe check a store like Radio Shack or other electronics stores for parts. oh yea BTW i dunno if its the same or not but last night i opened my 2000xl to replace the Rotary encoder (jog wheel) and the audio jacks on the expansion board looked like a b---- to replace.

Im sure worst case scenario you could track down just a jack and do the repair yourself if need be.

exactily where i was heading just wasnt too sure what the specs were on the jack or if just any quarter inch audio in plug will do.
